Farming in February....

The peaches are in bloom around here.  The seedlings are warming up and popping their stems out of the soil.  We are in zone 8b, so we are very busy right now.  We are working hard to get vegetable plants, herbs and flower plants ready for sale.  We are planting for the last weeks of our spring box subscription.  We just opened that up for public subscriptions.  If you are in Northwest Florida, you can check it out here.  Please call us if you have any questions at all.

We probably will have one or two more hard freezes.  An old farmer saying is that we shouldn't plant anything with blooms/fruit until Good Friday.  That is a good idea since it usually ensures that nothing will freeze.  There is nothing like having to cover an acre garden with frost cloth and hope for the best.  Not to mention the cost.

Until next time....
