Carrots do not like the heat.  They need the cool temps to produce those sweet roots.  So for now, we say goodbye until the fall.  This year we have harvested purple, yellow and orange.  Nope, we don't have favorites.  We love them all. 

Ya'll, make sure you eat those carrot tops, use them in stock.  Make pesto (Yep, that's what I said) and get creative.  Here's a link to a really cool cooking website that has some ideas for the carrot tops.  It's the thekitchn  surf the site.  Lots of good cooking information on produce there.  :)
